The STIHL FSA 400 is the first battery-powered clearing saw from STIHL. Designed for professionals working in landscaping and grounds maintenance, it has power output that is comparable to the FS 411 C-EM petrol clearing saw, and is best suited to clearing tough grass, shredding plant growth and felling small trees. The FSA 400 is battery powered – meaning it has low noise emissions, making it ideal for use in noise sensitive areas too. Fitted with a bike handle for comfortable working when taking on clearing jobs. The folding clamp makes it quick and easy to adjust the bike handle to the ergonomic position that suits you. The FSA 400 has a powerful EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 3 different speed levels depending on the type of work you are doing. Automatic RPM adjustment helps with energy efficient work – the RPM increases to 6,900 when it is used with a BrushCut or PolyCut mowing head and reduces to 5,000 when used with the AutoCut head. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces vibrations on the STIHL FSA 400, protecting your muscles and joints during use. The air filter on the housing ensures that the engine is kept cool during work, improving the service life of the clearing saw. It’s easy to remove and clean too. The FSA 400 comes supplied with a ADVANCE PLUS universal harness. The FSA 400 comes with fitted with the AutoCut 46-2 mowing head as standard but it can be fitted with a variety of other STIHL mowing heads, including:

• TrimCut 42-2 mowing head (manual adjustment)
• DuroCut 40-4 high-performance mowing head
• PolyCut 48-2 polymer blade mowing head
